Start at the Manger, and go to the Cross
Our choir is singing some beautiful songs for this year’s Cantata. One of my favorites is this one, “Start at the Manger” (Words & Music by Robert Sterling & Deborah Craig-Claar Word Music Nashville, TN) Let me quote just the first few lines: Start at the manger on a cold winter night. Look for the star in the sky, and follow its light. It leads to a Savior for a world that is lost. Start at the manger, then go to the cross. Listen to it at https://www.youtube.com/watch

This Little Light...
There is a gospel song that goes “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine…Let it shine till Jesus comes, I’m going to let it shine.” (originally written by Harry Dixon Loes around 1920) We have just celebrated Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the “Light of the World”. His birth was the fulfillment of the prophecy “those who have walked in darkness have seen a great light!” (Isaiah 9:2) Jesus, the Messiah, Emmanuel, “God With Us”…all name
