We all recognize that there is so much going on in the world that is devastating and confusing. In 1 Chronicles 12:32, we read that of the sons of Issachar, there were men who “understood the signs of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…” We need to seek to understand the times, according to sound Biblical doctrine, so that we too can “know what we ought to do.” Of course, the very first step is to accept Jesus, and His work on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. He promises us eternal life when we receive Him as Lord and Savior, and also gives us the Holy Spirit to direct our steps (John 16:13).

Dear Jesus, We know that You want us to “be ready” for that moment when You will appear and take us to Yourself! It is not Your will that any perish, but You give us the choice to seek You and to know and obey Your will and plan. Help us to always seek Your will and grant us the grace to follow it! In Your name we pray, Amen.
