When I pause to reflect on Jim, and all he was to so many people, I could list many things; brother, husband, father, grandfather…but he was also friend, mentor, boss, and the friendliest customer at Walmart!
He was ONE OF A KIND! Everyone that knew him, loved him. He may have had a different role with the people in his life, but one thing was constant: he brought humor and joy into every relationship! As a counselor or a family man or friend, he was compassionate and wise, and always ready to weave humor and laughter into the conversation! He definitely had the gift of joy, even when life was hard, and shared that joy with others.
Jim has indelibly left his mark on all of us. The legacy of his teachings are available on the website (www.brministry.org). These will shed the light of Jesus and God’s truth to millions around the world for a long time to come! (Thank you, Paul, for your gift in developing the website and your encouragement to him to utilize it).
He is now with His Lord, the One from whom he received his gift of joy, the joy that he shared with us. As we grieve and miss him, may we also be comforted in that we had a chance to know him, and were given that gift!
Thank you Lord, for giving us Jim!
